After a fire damaged my house the insurance adjuster asked who I'd like to do the cleanup. Having dealt with SERVPRO on a water damage claim at a restaurant downtown, I asked for them. Mary and Fanny were very fast and thorough with the total cleaning of my house. Mary was on top of the job and had excellent communication skills when any issues came up. Drew and his structural crew really hit it out of the park. The job came in under budget and they even finished weeks earlier than the allotted time. Dan did a great job managing the labor and supply chain. There were no issues at all with subcontractors or materials. I would strongly recommend SERVPRO of Leavenworth and NW Wyandotte County to anyone needing fire and water restoration services.

Late at night we noticed there was water coming in our basement. It flooded my parents’ room my sisters bedroom the hallway the living room bathroom and part of the storage room. The carpets were absolutely soaked and water was standing in the bathroom. I called SERVPRO of Leavenworth and NW Wyandotte Co and Jake showed up at 10:30 at night and then wet vacuumed all the water and set up dehumidifiers. These guys came back the next day and took out the carpet, and every day or every other day after that until it was all completely dry. They did an absolutely excellent job! I highly recommend them.

A huge tree recently fell on my 86 year old father’s house damaging it so badly he cannot live there for six to nine months. The damage was extensive with tree limbs, water and insulation coming through the roof . The professional approach, courtesy, consideration and work ethic of Jake Mitchell and his crew was more than impressive. Their respectfulness and responsiveness to my father in a desperate time will never be forgotten. Without our request, they voluntarily went “above and beyond” to make special arrangements for the removal and storage of family heirlooms , and special items they could have more easily thrown in the storage bins. Their cleanup was quick and efficient and made a disaster area ready for repair in a short period of time. Jake was more than helpful in connecting us with people we needed on other phases of resolving the dilemma. As a Superintendent of Schools for 18 years in Missouri, I had the misfortune of dealing with water damage , wind damage and transitioning in and out of many buildings. I wish I had this organization to have orchestrated the process as they far exceeded the work of other vendors that I contracted for similar work. Mary and Fanny packed up our entire house and labeled everything so that during unpacking I was able to find things very easily. Jake and his crew did a Great! job. Due to allergies I could not be around and had to depend on family members to do the communicating, and he communicated with them well. The work they did was thorough and the area was neatly cleaned up. I was comfortable leaving them to do their job while I stayed away from the area and even the house while they did their work. We used SERVPRO because they were an accredited provider of our insurance company...an arranged marriage so to speak. We had water damage on the main level and finished basement, requiring remediation of drywall, insulation, hardwood floors and carpet. The crew was professional and answered all questions. Eric Rice was our tech. When the plumber came out to fix the leak, the fix didn't work. It was Eric that noticed the issue, brought it to our attention and prevented further loss and extension of the repair process. Fortunately, we got a second plumber to come out and the leak was fixed...but it was Eric that caught it.

In February a city pipe collapsed and the sewer backed up into my basement.  I had purchased the sewer insurance through BPU, but they were no help whatsoever (another story).  BPU ended up coming to the house and clearing out the pipes, but my basement carpet and walls had suffered severe water and sewage damage.  I was told the city (KCK) would pay for the repairs, but I was on my own with the clean up.  I called SERVPRO the next morning, and they sent someone out to check out the damage.  He contacted a crew that was in the field, and they came by to start work.  They were courteous and very professional.  I was especially impressed with Jake Mitchell.  His knowledge and expertise were extensive, and he took the time to give me some advice on how to prevent further back ups, as well as additional clean up advice.  They cleaned up the mess and removed all the damaged items.  They were also extremely patient and understanding regarding payment.  The City and BPU insurance ultimately paid for the damage, but SERVPRO worked with me on their end so I didn't have to take out a loan to make sure they got paid.  The service isn't cheap, but they did a great job and made my home livable again.  I would recommend them to anyone.
