SERVPRO of Leavenworth & NW Wyandotte County holds continuing education classes to help keep everyone informed. Recently we teamed up with a local fire house to demonstrate fire safety. Here is controlled burn of a simulated bedroom. We were able to show how a fire burns and the damage afterwards.

Sound the Alarm!

Recently our Marketing Manager Paul Goode joined the American Red Cross' Sound the Alarm campaign.

Volunteer participants canvass at-risk neighborhoods and install free smoke alarms, replace batteries in existing alarms, and educate families about fire prevention and safety.

In just four years, these efforts have saved hundreds of lives and made hundreds of thousands of households safer.

PARK UNIVERSITY ALUMNI HALL: PARKVILLE, MO

On October 8th 2013 Park University’s Alumni Hall suffered smoke damage from a fire on the 3rd floor. Alumni Hall is used as the University’s theater building and suffered smoke damage to a total of 12,500 SF. Extensive cleaning and deodorization was performed on all 4 floors of the building. High ceilings in the theater needed to be cleaned as well as thousands of costumes; a special thermal fogging unit was used in order to apply an airborne pairing agent to the structure to neutralize every square inch of area in the building. Walls on the 3rd floor of the building had several generations of wall art from theater students; by using special cleaning methods SERVPRO was able to save a significant amount of these artifacts of Park University’s theater program.
