Preventing Water Damage

However, if you are worried about immediate damage to your personal belongings and furniture there are steps you can take to help preserve your items. Below are some tips to help you out!  1) Move furniture from wet areas. Wooden table legs can absorb water, expand, and cause more damage.2) If deep standing water, try raising furniture above it with blocks.3) Even if the water is not deep you can still raise it with blocks or tupperware lids to prevent damage to the furniture legs. If the furniture is on carpet it also prevents damage to the carpet as well.
